Attorney Junnier is licensed to practice in all Florida state courts, including the Florida Supreme Court, and the federal courts of the Norther and Southern Districts of Florida.
Attorney and human rights advocate Richard Junnier has lived, worked, researched, or visited, 42 countries, 12 conflict zones, and 4 revolutions.
Mr. Junnier sits on the Board of Directors of the ACLU (Florida affiliate) and on the Asia Committee and the Public International Law, Global Justice, and Human Rights Committee of the International Law Section of the Florida Bar. He has served on the Editorial Boards of the Florida Bar Journal and the FSU Law Review.
His education includes an LL.M. in Global Economy and Human Rights from NYU, an LL.M. in International and Comparative Law from the National University of Singapore. a certificate in Transnational Organized Crime from Erasmus College of Law (The Netherlands), and a J.D. from FSU.
He has published and presented in the area of privacy rights, immigration, a behavioral economic approach to criminal deterrence, and taxation. He has worked as a research assistant to International Human Rights Lawyers Fernando Teson and Simon Chesterman. He has also studied under INTERPOL Secretary General Ron Noble and Paul van Zyl, the Secretary General of the South Africa Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
Attorney Junnier's contribution to research has been cited in "Humanitarian Intervention: An Inquiry into Law and Morality," (a treatise on the Conduct of War) and "One Nation Under Surveillance" (a textbook concerning counterintelligence regulation).
When not residing or working abroad, Mr. Junnier lives in Tallahassee, FL, where he has served on several municipal and regional governmental boards.
